CURRENT ENGINEERING PROJECT:

We've been beavering away producing some new wash out plugs for a full size Pecket locomotive. All six of the plugs feature a taper thread at 11 T.P.I but with individually machined tapers and effective diameters to suit the boiler tappings. These were manufactured slightly tighter than the originals to help produce a perfectly sound seal because the plugs they replaced had developed a slight water leak during pressure testing.
